A VISUAL JOURNEY
Falu has worked with and collaborated with a wide array of artists including Jon Batiste, Billy Martin and John Medeski of Medeski Martin & Wood, A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire), Yo-Yo Ma (in The Silk Road Project), Philip Glass, Wyclef Jean, her teacher Ustad Sultan Khan, Blues Traveler, Ricky Martin, Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic) and more.
ABUNDANCE IN MILLETS
Falu, and Gaurav Shah will release the track “Abundance in Millets” featuring the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 16, 2023 in celebration of the International Year of the Millets. The Indian government submitted the proposal, acknowledging India as one of the largest producers of the supergrain, which was supported by 72 countries and United Nation's General Assembly.
Millets are small-grained, annual, warm-weather cereals belonging to the grass family cultivated mainly in India. For centuries, millets were the staples in India but gradually were relegated to the background and got marginalized post green revolution as the emphasis shifted to increased food grain production & productivity using high yielding varieties of wheat & rice. “Abundance in Millets” was created to raise awareness of the supergrain as another potential key to minimizing world hunger.
THE WAY OF THE RAIN
Falu had to great opportunity to perform in "The Way Of the Rain" during the Culture Summit in Abu Dhabi. Created by Mrs. Sibylle Redford, this multimedia performance art piece pays homage to our planet Earth and its universal elements.
FALU PERFORMS AT GIVENCHY FASHION SHOW
Falu sang for Givenchy's Fashion show in NYC, where she worked exclusively with Riccardo Tisci and Marina Abramovich. Falu's performance begins at 11.06 in this video.
